A few interesting facts about the GBR U17 team; there are 3 athletes who are pupils from one school, Chorlton High School, which does not play water polo, 4 pupils all started their polo career at Stretford before joining CoM and for the 7th consecutive year a Bolton pupil has been selected to represent the Great Britain Men’s Junior water polo team in the European Championships – testament to the talent which is nurtured and developed by Andy McGinty and the commitment the boys put into training both at school and City of Manchester.
The three day Tournament at the Manchester Aquatic Centre is sure to be popular with spectators, and if you are planning to attend and cheer our lads to victory, please email ejmwpmanchester2019@gmail.com now to secure tickets and guarantee your seat for this very special event.
We look forward to being poolside May 3rd – 5th, and wish you all the very best of luck!
