We are pleased to publish this statement from Ian Elliot, Chair of the Water Polo Management Group:
”Further to events yesterday I am aware that the community remains concerned about the fate of the senior international programs. At this stage I would like to highlight the release issued yesterday by George Wood, Swim England’s Sport Development Director, who said: “Swim England has not cancelled any Water Polo teams or programmes. We are in the process of planning Water Polo programme budgets for next year, as we are with all of our sports.”.”
Ian says, “In my role as Chair of the Management Group I am happy to answer specific queries where I can, or otherwise provide information as to which person in Swim England or British Swimming is best placed to assist. I can be reached by email at ian.elliot@nicholls-colton.co.uk or will be attending the BWPL event in Sheffield at the weekend if anyone would like to talk to me.”
