England U17 women’s junior EU Nations Brno CZE Oct 2021 Results
Game 1
England’s Junior Women have lost their opening match at the EU Nations U17 Water Polo Tournament 11-5 (3-2, 1-1, 5-1, 2-1) to Slovakia.
Simon Tomlinson’s team started strongly and more than matched Slovakia in a tight first half. However, the third quarter proved decisive, and despite all the England players giving everything in the final quarter, it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat.
Game 2
England stormed to a 34-5 (9-0, 10-2, 7-2, 8-1) victory over Lithuania in their second match at the EU Nations U17 Junior Women’s Water Polo Tournament in Brno.
A brilliant and ruthless performance in all four quarters, as England dominated Lithuania from start to finish, and the perfect response to this morning’s defeat to Slovakia.

Game 3
England’s Junior Women played out an epic battle with the hosts Czech Republic early on Saturday morning and were unfortunate to lose 12-8 (2-4, 4-1, 2-2, 4-1) in their third match at the EU Nations U17 Water Polo Tournament in Brno
A superb start saw England move 4-2 ahead in the first quarter, but Czech Republic – supported by a large partisan crowd – hit back in the second to take a 6-5 lead at the turnaround. The action was end-to-end throughout and it was only in the final eight minutes that the hosts managed to pull away to secure the win.

Game 4
England’s Junior Women put in a spirited display against tournament favourites South Africa, but went down fighting 19-4 (6-0, 6-4, 3-0, 4-0) in their penultimate match at the EU Nations U17 event. England’s scorers were Lucy Bullock (3) and Nyah Tomlinson (1).
Game 5
England’s Junior Women have finished their EU Nations U17 campaign with an impressive 8-17 (1-4, 5-5, 1-4, 1-4) victory over Austria. Despite the early start (8.20am), England looked sharp from the first whistle and raced into a 4-1 lead.Austria hit back in the second, but England managed to hold on to their three-goal lead at the turnaround. Simon Tomlinson’s team dominated the third to go 13-7 ahead and there was no way back for Austria as England controlled the final quarter to comfortably close the game out and take fourth place overall.
