Happy New Year!
After a busy November we thought that December would be a quiet month but how wrong we were! The fact that so much polo has been going on in December is testament to the resurgence the sport is experiencing. Matches and competitions have been played at all levels and there have been a number of end-of-year awards ceremonies. This month we are also featuring the Warrington 16 and under squad as they have enjoyed an exceptional year of competitive success.
November has been another busy month for water polo in England. The British Water Polo league is hotting up and the results can be followed at www.bwpl.org. Meanwhile there are lots of other events and tournaments going on. We hope to capture a flavour of these below.
ASA Eastern Region Water Polo Grand Prix
The finals of the ASA Eastern Region Water Polo Grand Prix took place on 4 November.
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Roger Patrick on Monday morning, 27th November 2017.
Given that his father was one of the founding members of Kettering Swimming Club, it was natural for Roger Patrick to be swimming from a young age, and this enthusiasm for all things aquatic led him to water polo, and an active playing career of more than 65 years.
