October has been another busy month for water polo in England. The British Water Polo league is hotting up and the results can be followed at www.bwpl.org. Meanwhile there are lots of other events and tournaments going on. We hope to capture a flavour of these below.
First of all congratulations to Newton Abbot Water Polo Club who took the Swim England Water Polo National Age Group girls’ U15s title without losing a match.
Welcome to our October Club News in which we try and showcase what clubs in England have been up to over the last month. It is great to see the number of clubs that have been competing in European tournaments as well as development tournaments at home.
Exeter Water Polo club entered their male and female under 19 teams to compete in the 2nd Barcelona International Turbo Cup from 7-10 September. The event was hosted by the Barcelona Water Polo Academy in the very pool that was iconic in the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.
Welcome to our September news round up for water polo clubs in England. This has been a busy month with many clubs and groups travelling abroad to experience water polo on the continent. As well as clearly having a great time, the squads are gaining valuable experience and insight into how water polo is played abroad and those that have entered competitions have enjoyed well-earned success.
