ENG senior men at the EU Nations, Brno, CZE. May 2022 Results

John Pratt fired in a hat-trick against tournament favourites USA as England’s senior men started their EU Nations campaign with a disappointing 3-14 (0-7, 3-1, 0-3, 0-3) defeat. After the loss to Los Angeles Athletic Club, who are playing as USA here in Brno and have just returned from a two-week preparation camp in Croatia and Montenegro, England will look to bounce back against Austria this afternoon, 2pm start local time.

Game 2
England’s senior men beat Austria 7-16 (1-5, 2-2, 2-6, 2-3) in their second match at the EU Nations on Friday.
The comprehensive victory was the perfect response to this morning’s 3-14 (0-7, 3-1, 0-3, 0-3) defeat to USA (Los Angeles Athletic Club).
After scoring a hat-trick in that game, Lancaster’s John Pratt continued his fine shooting form against the Austrians with five more goals.
Dan Atkinson (2), Aaron Winstanley (2), Rudi Polster (2), Joe Hubble (2), Jordan Elliot (1), Fin Parnell (1) and Michael Patterson (1) were England’s other scorers.
Game 3
England’s senior men have finished third in Group A at the EU Nations Cup after losing their final preliminary match 15-11 (4-2, 3-2, 4-3, 4-4) to Spanish Basque side Euskal Selekzioa
Manchester’s Aaron Winstanley led the scoring for England with five well-taken goals, while John Pratt (2), Joe Hubble (1), Jordan Elliot (1), Ashley Castle (1) and James Salt (1) were also on target.
Game 4
England’s senior men have finished fifth at the EU Nations Cup after beating Sweden 9-6 (1-2, 3-2, 2-1, 3-1)
In a physical match, which saw four Sweden players permanently excluded, England took control after the first quarter, winning each of the remaining three to seal the deserved victory.
John Pratt, Joe Hubble and Dan Atkinson fired in two goals each, while Rudi Polster, Jordan Elliot and James Salt all scored one.
