Welcome to our club news for April 2017.

CSWPC men’s team

Cheltenham produced a champions’ performance to defeat City of Manchester 18-9 in the final match of the Super 5s programme at Gloucester on 19 March.  This was the fourth time Cheltenham has won the title in six years.  Well done to all.

In the women’s competition the title fell to be decided by the clash between Manchester and Liverpool.  It was an excellent game which saw Liverpool win 5-3.  This was their third successive win.  Well done.

Great to hear of the success of the first Kent Ladies Cup tournament.     Players competed from 6 clubs.  The winners were a mixed team from Beckenham/Sevenoaks/Monson, second was Bexley and third place went to Faversham/Hythe.  We understand that it was a great event – well done to all involved.

Congratulations to Exeter Water Polo whose ladies’ team finish the Devon League undefeated.

Midlands Water Polo League – Congratulations to league winners Solihull on a successful defence of their Junior Men’s title. This is the fourth year in a row that they have successfully defended their title.   Second place went to Cheltenham and League newcomers Northampton secured third spot after a hard fought win away at Boldmere.

CoC men’s water polo team

It is great to see City of Coventry take a place in BWPL men’s Division 5 at the start of next season.  Coventry last played National League men’s water polo 7 years ago.  Chelmsford, who last took part in the men’s national league 17 years ago, also took a place.  The final slot went to Watford Saxons. It promises to be an exciting season.
