Game 2 v The Czech Republic

England U17s stormed to their second victory of the day with an outstanding 18-0 (4-0, 3-0, 6-0, 5-0) win against the hosts Czech Republic II.

Another sensational performance from our junior women, who have taken firm command of Group B ahead of tomorrow’s final preliminary match against Denmark.

Game 3 v Denmark

England U17s produced another powerful performance at the EU Nations Junior Women’s Tournament with a sensational 18-3 (4-1, 5-0, 5-1, 4-1) triumph over Denmark.

The result maintained their 100% win record in Brno and sees England finish the preliminary stage top of Group B.

Game 4 v Germany

England U17s had a battling 9-5 (5-1, 2-0, 2-2, 0-2) defeat to Germany in the semi-finals.

Despite a slow start against the tough and physical Germans, England fought back hard and pushed their opponents right until the final whistle.

“This has been a great tournament for us. The gap between the top three teams has been narrowed and our results show this,” said Sarah.

“Going forward, we need to play high level games and as soon as this year’s NAGs are finished, the team will be training hard and preparing fully for September.

“We will also be playing high quality games to bring the girls up to the level of European polo.”
