University water polo competitions in the UK are provided by BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) which operates throughout the academic year and provides well organised and exciting polo tournaments, with UK University Champions being crowned at the end of the year.
University water polo in England is of a high standard. Many players who compete within the university leagues concurrently play for club teams, while a significant number of players also represent their respective nations in international competition.
Additionally, many UK universities employ professional coaches and invest significant resources into the continued development of their water polo student-athletes. Congratulations to London Otter women who have booked their ticket to the next round of European Aquatics 2024 Challenger Cup. The last match on Sunday 10th November in Group C saw Czech Republic hosts, Asten Johnson Strakonice, take on Otter Swimming and Water Polo Club.
